유방성형연구회는 유방성형 및 재건에 관해 공부하고 경험과 지식을 나누는 대한성형외과학회 산하 연구회이다. 이 책은 교과서의 형식을 취하고 있지만, 저자에게 재량권을 많이 주어 좀 더 자유로운 형식으로 저술하게 하였다. 모든 관련 내용을 빠짐없이 싣는 것보다는 각 챕터의 저자가 독자에게 전달하고 싶은 포인트들을 중심으로 구성하고자 하였다. 원리 원칙을 기본으로 하되, 수술에 직접적으로 도움이 되는 내용, 독자가 질문하고 싶은 내용들을 최대한 많이 포함하려고 노력하였고, 이 책으로 독자의 유방성형수술 레벨이 몇 단계 더 올라가는 것을 목표로 하였다.
