이 책은 기후변화와 생물다양성에 관한 조약들을 위주로 모은 영문 조약집이다. 최근 기후변화 문제가 국제사회의 주요 관심사가 되었고, 국내적으로는 지난 몇 년간 녹색성장이 커다란 화두가 되고 있다. 환경 문제를 이해하는 데 있어서는 국제 조약의 이해가 반드시 필요하다. 더군다나 우리나라처럼 수출이 국가 성장의 동력이 되는 나라에서는 국제환경법과 국제환경조약, 각 국가들의 환경규제 문제를 이해하는 것이 필수적인 요소가 되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 종합적인 국제환경조약집이 없어서 아쉬움을 갖고 있던 저자가 국제환경조약에 관한 자료를 수집하고 정리하여 만든 자료 중 기후변화와 식물 다양성에 관한 내용만 모아 출판하였다.
